A Brief History Pacific Flooring Supply Company was founded in 1952 in Oakland, California by Malcolm Rea as a hardwood flooring and related accessories, machines and supplies distributor. Over the years, the business has expanded the product mix to include carpet, resilient tile and resilient sheet vinyl, along with the associated installation products. Other branch locations were opened throughout Northern California and Western Nevada to service a wider geographical market. In the 1970's, Malcolm Rea was very active in various floor covering associations, serving as president of NAFCD, (The National Association of Floor Covering Distributors), in 1975. Today, Pacific Flooring Supply has eight branches, providing hardwood flooring, carpet, luxury vinyl tile, rubber tile and all the related installation tools and supplies, to the flooring trade. The business has always been family owned, and is currently run by three of Malcolm's sons, Jeff, Joe and Brian Rea, with the help of many long-term employees. Pacific Flooring Supply Company looks forward to servicing the needs of the flooring industry for many years to come. |
